Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.

Firelands Electric Cooperative sponsors two high school sophomores or juniors on the Annual Youth Tour to Washington, D.C., in cooperation with the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, Inc. and the National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association. The candidates must be sons and daughters of Firelands members, and compete for the opportunity to participate in the summer trip.

Click here to experience the wonder of Washington, D.C. Firelands' Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. is open to students who are currently high school sophomores and juniors and are not eligible for a high school diploma before May/June 2010.

We would like to emphasize that knowledge of rural electric cooperatives handbook many times becomes the determining factor. Candidates are urged to thoroughly study the handbook, "Cooperatives - the Competitive Difference" (9/05 Edition). A test is given on this information.
