Farm Science Review

Firelands, like most other electric cooperatives, started in the 1930s when farmers needed access to electricity, therefore we find it important to stay in touch with our roots by sponsoring and participating in Ohio's Farm Science Review each September. At this event, individuals and companies involved in agriculture can learn about the latest technologies available to improve production and efficiency in the industry.

Ohio Electric Cooperatives are a major exhibitor at the Farm Science Review. Our 135 x 40ft building is located on the eastern edge of the Review and displays the Touchstone Energy logo on the top.  We think you’ll be pleased with everything you will find at the event, including morning and afternoon fly overs from the Touchstone Energy hot air balloon (weather permitting).

Be sure to visit our Touchstone Energy building, which is filled with many types of energy demonstrations including generators, insulation, heat pumps, geothermal systems, lighting, cooking demonstrations, and drawings for everything from a Marathon water heater, remote control cars for kids, and many energy-saving household items. While visiting our building, learn about the latest technologies in energy efficiency and be sure to try our famous popcorn, and try to win one of our popular yardsticks by testing your knowledge at the “Co-op Wheel of Fortune” booth.

We hope to see you there!
