Ohio Line Supervisors Association Scholarship
In order to carry on a program that encourages children of employees to further their education, and gives them an opportunity to develop promising careers, the Ohio Line Supervisors Associations offers an annual scholarship. Three scholarships, worth $2,000, $1,500, and $1,000, will be awarded to outstanding students whose parent or guardian is an employee of one of the 25 electric cooperatives in Ohio, Ohio's Electric Cooperatives (OEC), or an affiliated organization (Buckeye Power, RESCO, etc.).
What are the entry requirements?
Applicants must be a graduating high school senior, whose parents or legal guardian are an employee of Firelands Electric Cooperative, or other Ohio electric co-op. Applicants must have a "C+" (2.5 GPA) average or better, and candidates are evaluated on their scholastic record, personal achievement, leadership, school and community activities, and cooperative knowledge. Qualifying applicants will participate in a personal interview at the OEC offices in Columbus.
