Home Rehabilitation Programs
Federal home rehabilitation programs, sponsored by the Ohio Department of Development, are available throughout the state. The Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) offers home rehabilitation and home repair services. Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) is a residential energy efficiency program that reduces the energy use of income-eligible households.

Operation Round Up
Firelands Electric People Fund, Inc., a charitable trust fund also known as Operation Round Up, which is voluntarily supported by members of the Cooperative. Energy Efficient Incentives & Programs

Several organizations offer incentives, rebates, and tax credits on new energy efficient appliances. 

 

Federal Tax Credits for Consumer Energy Efficiency
If you purchase an energy-efficient product or renewable energy system for your home, you may be eligible for a federal tax credit. Please note, not all ENERGY STAR® qualified products qualify for a tax credit. Click here to view an overview of the federal tax credits for energy efficiency.


 
 

Firelands Member Programs, Rebates, and Incentives
Program rebates and incentives apply to members of Firelands Electric Cooperative.  In order to receive incentive(s) listed, Firelands members must agree to participate in the co-op load management program; have an applicable PeakBuster device installed/tested for each electric water heater, electric central cooling system, and other applicable electric appliance(s) installed in the home. The State of Ohio offers programs
